Learning Objective: Children will be able to learn about fresh and salty
water.
Fresh water is the type of water having a low salt concentration that is
usually less than 1% that is fit for drinking.
Fresh water includes water in ice sheets, ice caps, glaciers, ponds,
lakes, rivers, streams and even ground water.
Fresh water is used by humans for drinking and agricultural purposes
because it contains low amount of salts.
Saline water is commonly known as salt water contains a high
amount of dissolved salts that is not fit to drink and use.
Ocean and Sea are huge bodies of salty water. The salt water of
oceans and seas are used to make salt that we use in our food.
