               Learning objective: Children will learn about different groups of food.

                      Food is an important part of our life. We eat food because it provides
                       us energy and protects us from the diseases.

                      There is variety of food items and they are all divided into different
                       groups.
                      Energy giving food- They give our body energy to work and play.
                       Examples- rice, bread, butter, etc.
                      Body building food- They help our body to grow and build our bones
                       and muscles. Examples- eggs, chicken, milk, dal, etc.
                      Protective food- They help us to keep our body fit by protecting us
                       from various harmful diseases. Examples- fruits and vegetables.
