               Learning objective: Children will learn about the sources of food or where
               the food comes from.

                     The sources of food are broadly classified into two groups.
                            Food from Plants
                            Food from Animals
                     Plants  provide  us  vegetables,  fruits,  tea,  coffee,  cereals  (wheat),
                       pulses (lentil, kidney beans), sugar, oil, spices (cardamom).
                     Human consumes different parts of plants.
                       Example: Roots (carrot), Stem(ginger), Leaves(cabbage),
                       Flowers(cauliflower), Fruits(apple), Seeds (fenugreek seeds). These
                       are the important source of fibers, proteins and carbohydrates.

                     Food obtained from animals is the main source of protein.
                     The  food  obtained  from  animals  are  fish,  milk,  meat,  poultry  and
                       cheese.

               Learning outcome: Children learnt about the sources of food or where the
               food comes from.
