Animals get food from the environment in which they live. Different
animals have different eating habits.
Some animals eat only parts of plant (roots, stems, leaves, seeds,
fruits etc). They are called as herbivores. Examples of herbivores: -
sheep, horse, cow, rabbit etc.
Some animals eat only flesh of other animals. They are called as
carnivores. Examples of carnivores: -lion, tiger, eagle etc.
Some animals eat both plants and flesh of other animals. They are
called as omnivores. Examples of omnivores: -hen, crow, bear,
chimpanzee etc.
Learning outcome: Children learnt about food habits of different
animals.
