Learning objective:  The students will be able to identify and use the adverbs of
        manner.
              Adverbs of manner describe how something happens.
        Example: The boy ran.  If we ask “How did the boy run?"   You might say:

        The boy ran fast.
        The boy ran slowly.
        The boy ran quickly.

        The boy ran carefully.  Here, ran is the verb.
              We already know that the word which modifies a verb is known as an Adverb.
              Here fast, slowly, quickly, carefully are the adverbs.

               They answer to the question “How”.
               These are Adverbs of manner.

              Adverbs of manner are usually formed from adjectives by adding –ly:
               Bad-badly                           quiet – quietly                  sudden – suddenly
               But sometimes there are changes in spelling:
        easy>easily                               gentle>gently                      careful>carefully
