Learning objective: The students will be able to learn about adverb.
Adverbs are words that modify an adjective, a verb, or another
adverb.
It explains how, when or
where something happened.
Example:
I will eat later. (The adverb
later modifies the verb eat)
The place was
strangelyquiet. (The adverb
strangely modifies the adjective quiet.)
He is almostalways busy. (The adverb almost modifies another
adverb always)
Many adverbs can be formed simply by adding -ly to the end of
adjective.
Example: boldly, bravely, brightly, cheerfully, eagerly, faithfully, gracefully
etc.
