Simple present tense












                                                 Simple Present Tense








                                               Simple present tense is  the
                                               one which  we use when an
                                                 action is happening  right
                                                 now,or  when it happens
                                                         regularly.




                      With 3rd person singular                                   In 1st  and 2nd person
                     nouns  the simple tense  is                              singualr  plural nouns  and
                      formed by using the root                                pronouns or with 3rd person
                     form of verb or by adding –                                plural nouns the simple
                      s , –es or –ies to the end                              present tense is formed by
                     ,depending on the person.                                keeping the verb same as it
                                                                                           is.




                                                                Verbs that end
                                                                 with -ch, -sh,-
                                          Verbs that end        s, -ss, -z, -o, -x
                                          in a consonant         we add –es.              Ex-I go.
                    Verbs that end       +y ,we remove y                                  You go.
                     in  a vowel+y,        and add ies.           Ex-Switch-
                    we just add -s                                 switches           Meera and Siya
                                           Ex- cry-cries                                go together.
                    Ex- play-plays                               Buzz-buzzes
                                             try-tries
