Exceptions:


                Sometimes a word may begin with a consonant


                               but we use the article ‘an’ before it.


                                                  Do you know why?



                The use of ‘a’ or ‘an’ depends on the beginning


                                                                sound.


                                                 For example – Hour


             We see that the beginning of the word starts with



                      a consonant ‘h’ but we hear a vowel sound.


                                          So, we use the article ‘An’


                                                             An Hour.


                  Similarly, when we hear the consonant sound,


                                                     we use article ‘a’


                                                     Example : A hat
