                                         Combination of two or more words that
                                           function as a single unit of meaning.









                                                        Ex: book
                                                        bookrack
                                                       bookseller
                                                       bookshop
                                                       bookstore

                                                      bookbinding




               Learning objective:  The students will be able to recognize and use

               compound words.

               Compound words are formed when two or more words are joined
               together to create a new word that has an entirely new meaning. For
               example, “sun” and “flower” are two different words, but when fused
               together, they form another word, Sunflower.













               Learning outcome:  The students were able to recognize and use
               compound words.
