(i)    Body-centred unit cells:

                              When constituent particles are present at corners and one

                              at centre of the body, it is called body-centred unit cell.

                       (ii)  Face-centred unit cell:

                               When constituent particles are present at corners and at

                              centre of each face, it is called face-centred unit cell.
                       (iii)  End-centred unit cell:

                              When constituent particles are present at corners and at

                              centre of any one pair of opposite faces, it is called centred

                              unit cell.
