CULTURAL DIVERSITY- The presence within the larger national,
regional or other context of many different kinds of cultural
communities such as those defined by language, religion,
region, ethnicity and so on. A multiplicity or plurality of
identities.
Community- It refers to a collection of people in a
geographical area.
COMMUNITY IDENTITIES
Communities are a source of identity. Every community has its
distinct traditions, values, and norms. This knowledge becomes
the property of that particular community and plays an important
role in shap ing the identity structures of its members.
FEATURES OF COMMUNITY IDENTITY
1) Community Identity is based on birth and
belonging rather than on some forms of acquired
qualification or accomplishment.
2) They are universal
