The blood carries the absorbed food material to different parts of the body.
Glucose breaks down to form oxygen and carbon dioxide and releases the
energy required for various life processes.
The undigested and unabsorbed food passes from the small intestine to the
large intestine.
LARGE INTESTINE
Large intestine absorb excess of water from the undigested material with the
help of more villi.
The rest of the material is removed from the body via the anus. This process
is called as Egestion.
The exit of waste material is regulated by the anal sphincter.
