•It's winter, there's snow on the tree, an evergreen pine

called a hemlock,

•And a crow has happened to send some snow dust down on

the man.

• It illustrates the extraordinary curative power of nature and

trivial things in life. Nature cures everything whether it is

awful mood or illness. The author is experiencing one such

bad day when a crow’s movement on the hemlock tree send

the dust snow upon him. The snow instantly makes him

happier. He looks forward to the rest of the day. The

supremacy of nature made him realise his problems are petty.
