Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; and

               Saturday and Sunday are part of the weekend.


               There are also abbreviations for each day.


                Monday-Mon.


               Tuesday- Tue.


               Wednesday-Wed.


               Thursday- Thu.


               Friday- Fri.


               Saturday-Sat.


               Sunday-Sun.


                     Any present day is known as today.


                    On Sunday we say ‘today is Sunday’.


                     The day before today is known as yesterday.


                   On Sunday we say ‘yesterday was Saturday’.

                     The day after today is called tomorrow.


                   On Sunday we say ‘tomorrow is Monday’.

                     From Monday to Friday is weekdays and Saturday
                       and Sunday are known as weekends.





               Learning outcome: The child can tell and write the 7 days of the
               week with its abbreviations. He/she can also differentiate

               between weekdays and weekends.
