Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; and
Saturday and Sunday are part of the weekend.
There are also abbreviations for each day.
Monday-Mon.
Tuesday- Tue.
Wednesday-Wed.
Thursday- Thu.
Friday- Fri.
Saturday-Sat.
Sunday-Sun.
Any present day is known as today.
On Sunday we say ‘today is Sunday’.
The day before today is known as yesterday.
On Sunday we say ‘yesterday was Saturday’.
The day after today is called tomorrow.
On Sunday we say ‘tomorrow is Monday’.
From Monday to Friday is weekdays and Saturday
and Sunday are known as weekends.
Learning outcome: The child can tell and write the 7 days of the
week with its abbreviations. He/she can also differentiate
between weekdays and weekends.
