 Counting large number of objets using tens and ones

                       becomes easy.

 By making groups of tens and counting them as tens and
                       ones.

 Ex: 46 has 4 tens or 4 groups of ten each and 6 ones as

                       loose sticks/objects.

                    It is written as 46 = 4 tens and 6 ones or 40 + 6

                    23 = 2 tens and 3 ones or 20+3.
                    23 will have 2 bundles and 3 loose sticks(each bundle has

                       10 sticks).

 T O 23 is written under tens and ones

                       2 3

The names of the numbers with whole tens are:

ten = ten four tens = forty seven tens = seventy

two tens = twenty five tens = fifty eight tens = eighty

three tens = thirty six tens = sixty nine tens = ninety

                                               ten tens = one hundred

Learning outcome: Children can re-group numbers and can put
               them under tens and ones.
