Lesson 11.4 - Standard units of measurements.

Learning objective-Students will be able to understand the

concepts of standard measuring units to measure different

objects and places.

Note: These are the standard units to measure the length. We use

meter rule or meter rod for large measurement. We measure length

in meter(m) or centimeter(cm) of an object. We use kilometer (km)

to measure the distance between two places.

For example :

Measurement of table: centimeter.(cm)

Measurement of dupatta: meter(m).

Measurement of Mumbai to Pune: kilometer(km).

1 metre = 100 cm

1 km = 1000 m

Learning outcome-Students can able to measure different objects

and places by using different standard units like centimeter, meter
and kilometre.
