Lesson 11.3- Non standard measuring units (length)

Learning objective-Students will be able to understand the

concepts of non-standard measuring units to measure length of

different objects or places .

Note:

 These are some nonstandard measuring units using our foot.

Foot: It is equal to the size of our foot. While measuring we

place our foot in front of another foot and keep moving forward.

Pace: It is the distance covered by a person while walking in
his/her normal pace of walking. One step of normal walking is

one pace. We usually measure larger areas using pace like a field

or play-ground.

Learning outcome-Students can able to measure different places

by using different body parts like pace and foot.
