TYPES OF CLOTHES

Learning Objective-Children will be aware about the different types of

clothes.

Note:

 We wear different clothes in different times of the year.
According to the weather condition and the seasons our

clothing also varies. For eg-we wear cotton in summers, woollen

in winters and when it rains we use raincoat, gumboots and

umbrellas.

 We wear different types of clothes on different occasion. On

special occasion we wear special dresses like for wedding,
festivals and party.

 For school we wear uniforms. Different workplace requires

their special uniform like doctors, lawyers, nurses, soldiers etc.

 Clothes can be made up of different materials like cotton, wool,

silk, nylon or synthetic fibres. Some of these materials we get

from nature and some of them are man-made.
 Fabrics like cotton, silk, wool are collected from natural sources.

Nylon, synthetic fibres are made by man using different

materials.

Learning Outcome- Children can identify the different types of

clothes.
