1. KEEPING IN TOUCH

Learning objective-Children will be aware about the importance of

communication and media.

Note-

 We are so busy in our daily life that we can’t visit our friends and

relatives daily. Then how are we going to keep in touch? In such case,
various means of communication help us to send and receive our

messages.
 Sending or receiving messages is called communication. In old days

messages were sent and received by using pigeons, horses and
messengers (men).

 But today technology made it possible by inventing different gadgets
to easily communicate with friend and relatives living in faraway

places. Some of the means of communication are TV, radio, computer,
mobiles, newspapers, telephones, letters etc.

 Radio , television, newspaper face book etc are mass means of

communication. We reach a large number of people at one time.

Learning outcome-Children can tell the importance of communication and

media.
