3. MODES OF TRANSPORT

Learning objective-Children will be aware about different modes of transport.

Note:-

 There are different ways to travel. Technology and inventions made

travelling easy by creating different types of vehicles. Now we are using
different modes of transport like Land, Air and Water.
 Land- Those vehicles run on road are known as land or road transport.
Some of the examples of land transport are-cycle, car, bus, truck, tractor
etc. Train is another example of land transport. But one different thing
about it is, it runs on special track made on land.
 Air- When we take help of some transport to travel by air, it is called air

transport. Some examples of air transport are airplane, helicopter, glider,
hot air balloon, rockets etc.
 Water - When we travel by water, it is called water transport. Some of
the examples of water transport are ship, boat, submarines, houseboats,
yachts, jet skis, battle ships, ferries etc.
