                    ➢  Gram Panchayat is the smallest unit of Indian polity .It is a system of local
                        government at the village and district level.
                    ➢  It looks after the social , economic and cultural needs of the villages.
                    ➢  The task of Gram Panchayat is to look into the construction of various
                        resources needed for the people as well as to collect taxes.
                    ➢  It comprises of Ward members and the Sarpanch.
