Answer: (a) 1 revolution = 12 hours

of revolution = × 12 = 6 hours

The hand of the clock will stop at 6.

Q3. Which direction will you face if you start facing

(a) East and make of a revolution clockwise?

(b) east and make 1½ of a revolution clockwise?
Answer: 1 revolution = 360°

of revolution = × 360° = 180°

If we are facing in east direction and make ½ of a revolution clockwise, we will

face in west direction as shown in fig.
