Line A line segment corresponds to the
segment shortest distance between two points.

It has a fixed/definite length.

Ray A ray is a portion of line that starts from a
point and extends indefinitely in one
direction.

It can be extended in one direction only.

Parallel Two lines in a plane are said to be parallel if they
lines do not meet.
Intersecting Two distinct lines meeting at a point are called
lines intersecting lines.
