Line  A line segment corresponds to the
segment shortest distance between two points.
 It has two end points.
                             It has a fixed/definite length.
 The line segment joining points A and B is

                               denoted by .

Line  A line is obtained when a line segment like
AB is extended on both sides indefinitely.

 It is denoted by or sometimes by a
                               single small letter like l.
 It has no fixed length.

Ray  A ray is a portion of line that starts from a
point and extends indefinitely in one
                               direction.
 It has one end point.
 It can be extended in one direction only.
                             It is denoted as

Parallel Two lines in a plane are said to be parallel if they
        lines do not meet.

Intersecting Two distinct lines meeting at a point are called
        lines intersecting lines.
