Loading:
Loading is the process of making the insoluble solids in a liquid settle down faster by
addition of some chemicals.
Example: When alum is added to muddy water, it makes the fine mud particles heavy,
which can settle down faster.
Filtration:
Filtration is the process by which very fine insoluble solids can be separated from a
solution by passing it through a filter paper. The solid particles retained by the filter
paper are called the residue. The clear liquid obtained after the filtering process is
called the filtrate.
Example: A mixture of chalk and water can be separated by the process of filtration.
