Common contractions
In English, there are a fairly small number of contractions, and they're all made out of common words.
Here are some of the contractions: (please take a note in your CW Copy)

You might have noticed that the word won't is a little different from the other contractions. It means will
not, even though the word will isn't there. The English language always has special rules for some
words; these words are known as irregular words.
When the words 'will' and 'not' are contracted, they don't form the word 'willn't'.
That sounds odd, doesn't it? That's because will + not = won't.
We use the word 'won't' often in speaking and writing.
