The Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire) is the land of hot and wet
climate and receives heavy rains.
Location:
• It is located in the central part of the African continent between 5⁰N and
10⁰S latitudes.
• One- third of the DRC lies in the Northern Hemisphere, while the other
two-thirds lie in the Southern Hemisphere.
• Kinshasa is the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
