Elements of a Map
A Maps represent information by using symbols that
are identified in a legend of the map.
Title- The title gives basic information about the map.
It describes the theme or subject of the map.
DIRECTION- It is also known as compass rose. It helps to
find places more easily.
Legends- It includes a sample of each symbol and a short description of what the
symbol means.
Scale- It is the ratio of the distance on the map and the actual distance.
