• Five bells begin to toll together and toll respectively at interval 6, 7, 8

and 12 seconds .After how much time will they toll together again?

• Solution:- As the keyword together again is given then we have to

find the LCM

• Required time =LCM of 6, 7, 8, 12 seconds

= 2 6, 7, 8, 12

2 3, 7, 4, 6

3 3, 7, 2, 3

1, 7, 2, 1

=2x2x3x7x2 seconds =168 seconds =2 min 48 sec

So, the bells will toll together after 2 min.48 sec.
