e Estimating Quotient: We round off the dividend and divisor, then divide the
rounded off numbers.
Example 1: Estimate the quotient by dividing 9876 by 98.
** Here, we have to round off 9876 to nearest 1000 and 98 to the nearest
100, as it will be easier to get the product.
Step 1: round off 9876 to the nearest 1000.
9876-»10,000
Step 2: round off 98 to the nearest 100.
98> 100
Step 3: divide the rounded off numbers.
10,000 + 100 = 100.
