Water cycle is an example of physical
change
• In summer, lakes and ponds get dry as water
evaporates into the atmosphere and forms water
vapour.
• Then water vapour condenses to form clouds and
comes down again as water in form of rain.
• In this process no new substance is formed only
water changes its state from one form to another.
• This is a physical change . It is a temporary
change.
• Water is the only liquid which exists in three
states of matter.
