A FOOD PYRAMID is a guide of healthy foods divided into sections to show the
recommended intake of each food group.

The lower food groups need to be consumed in higher quantities, compared to the food
groups above it.
This ensures that we obtain all kinds of nutrients in the right amount in our diet.
Nutrient requirement varies from person to person. It depends on age, gender, nature, of
work they do.
