Formation of Image by a Convex Lens

A ray of light passing through the lens's optical center travels straight and without
deviation. Only in the case of a thin lens does this hold true.

After refraction, an incident ray parallel to the principal axis passes through the
               focus.

After refraction, an incident ray passing through the focus of a lens emerges
               parallel to the principal axis.
