            Idioms

            Introduction:
            Idioms are phrases where the meaning cannot be deduced from the literal interpretation of the words.
            They are figurative expressions commonly used in everyday language.

            Examples of Idioms:

               1.  Break the ice – To initiate conversation or ease tension.

               2.  Bite the bullet – To endure a painful experience.

               3.  Burn the midnight oil – To study or work late into the night.

               4.  The ball is in your court – It’s your turn to make a decision or
                   take action.

               5.  Hit the nail on the head – To describe exactly what is causing a
                   situation or problem.
               6.  Under the weather – Feeling ill or unwell.


               7.  Once in a blue moon – Something that happens very rarely.



            Explanation with Examples:
             Idiom                Meaning                       Example


             Break the ice        To initiate conversation      He told a joke to break the ice at the party.

             Bite the bullet      To endure a painful           She had to bite the bullet and take the exam.
