Rules and Notes:
1. -ous, -ful, -less, -al, -ic, -ish, and -y are common suffixes used to
change nouns into adjectives.
Example: joy → joyful, harm → harmless
2. Be mindful of spelling changes:
beauty → beautiful (drop the ‘y’ and add ‘-iful’)
3. Not all nouns can be changed into adjectives using the same rule.
Some have irregular forms:
child → childlike (not childful)
