THE EIGHT PLANETS OF THE
SOLAR SYSTEM
• PLANETS:- are the large celestial bodies
that revolve around the sun in the solar
system. They don’t have lights of their
own and they are dependent on the sun
for both heat and light .
• Our solar system has eight planets:
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter,
Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
• Example :-Earth is the third planet from
the sun. It is the only planet where
plants, animals and living beings live.
