India and its neighboring countries
India is a large and beautiful country in South
Asia. It shares its borders with many countries.
To the west of India is Pakistan. In the north,
India is bordered by China, Nepal, and Bhutan.
On the east side, India shares borders with
Bangladesh and Myanmar. To the south of
India, across the sea, is the island country of Sri
Lanka. Each neighbor is special. China is famous
for the Great Wall, Nepal has Mount Everest,
and Sri Lanka is known for its beautiful
beaches. These neighboring countries are
India’s friends, and together they make South
Asia a very interesting part of the world!
