• India is a large country in South Asia.
• India is the 7th largest country in the world.
• It has 7 neighboring countries.

• India shares its borders with land and water (Sri Lanka is separated by the
sea).
• Each neighboring country has its own flag, language, and culture.
• India has friendly relations with many of its neighbors.

Neighbouring Countries of India:

• Pakistan – on the northwest
• China – on the north

• Nepal – on the north
• Bhutan – on the northeast
• Bangladesh – on the east
• Myanmar (Burma) – on the east
• Sri Lanka – across the sea in the south
