LN- Change Of State And Particle Model

                Learning Objectives

                   • Identify and describe the three primary states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas.
                   • Understand that matter is made up of tiny particles.
                   • Explain how heating and cooling can change the state of matter.
                   • Recognize that these changes are physical and reversible.

                       Activity-

◆ The particles in solid cannot move very much as they are tightly packed.

◆ When we heat the substance the particles gain energy. Some of the heat energy changes
into movement energy. Particles moves so fast that they move away from each other.

A solid melts and become liquid.

◆ When a liquid looses energy its particles slow down and move closer together. The liquid
changes state and become a solid.

◆ Children will draw the models in blank side of their notebooks.

                Learning Outcomes

                   • Demonstrate the ability to classify substances as solids, liquids, or gases based on their
                       properties.
                   • Illustrate and describe the particle arrangement in each state of matter.
                   • Conduct simple experiments to observe changes in states of matter.
                   • Discuss real-life examples where matter changes state.
