Mains Electricity: Powering Our Homes



                ●     Mains electricity is the power that comes into our homes
                      through wires

                ●     It's much stronger than battery power - usually 120 or 240

                      volts

                ●     This electricity runs big appliances like refrigerators and
                      washing machines

                ●     Mains power is always on, unlike batteries that can run out

                ●     Can you spot any power lines or electrical outlets in your
                      classroom?
