                                                       LN- 12-Hour and 24-Hour Clock


            Learning Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:


                 Understand the difference between a 12-hour and a 24-hour clock.
                 Read and write time using both formats.
                 Convert time from 12-hour to 24-hour format and vice versa.


            1. 12-Hour Clock:


     Divides the day into two parts: AM (midnight to noon) and PM (noon to midnight)







                                8:00 a.m.                                              8:00 p.m.


     Example: 8:00 AM is morning school time, 8:00 PM is dinner time.


                2. 24- Hour Clock:


               o  Time runs from 00:00 (midnight) to 23:59.
               o  No AM or PM is used.
               o  Examples:


            3. Conversion Tips:


                       o  From 12-hour to 24-hour: Add 12 to PM hours
                          (except 12 PM).

                       o  From 24-hour to 12-hour: Subtract 12 from any
                          time above 12:00.


            Learning outcome: Students are able to understand
            difference between a 12-hour and a 24-hour clock.
