                                                      LN- Life Cycle of Birds

Learning Objective: Children will be able to know about life cycle of
               birds.

               Explanation:

Birds are fascinating creatures, and just like other animals,

they go through different stages in their life. The life cycle of a bird
shows how it starts as an egg and grows into an adult bird that can lay
               eggs to continue the cycle.

Stages of the Life Cycle of Birds

                     1. Egg Stage:

o The life of a bird starts inside an egg. A bird lays its eggs in a
safe place, such as a nest.
o The eggs are usually kept warm by the mother bird sitting on
them, which is called "incubation." This warmth helps the
baby birds grow inside the eggs.
                   2. Hatching:
o After some time, the baby birds are ready to hatch. The baby
bird uses its beak, which is called an "egg tooth," to break
                              open the egg.
o This is a delicate process, and the baby bird is called a
                              "chick."
                   3. Chick Stage:
o Once the chick has hatched, it is very small, and it can't fly
yet. The chick depends on its parents for food, warmth, and
                              protection.
o Baby birds often start by eating insects, seeds, or the food
that the parents bring to the nest.
                   4. Juvenile Stage (Growing Up):
o As the chick grows, it starts to develop feathers. These
feathers help the bird stay warm and prepare for flight.
o The young bird practices flying and learning to find food on
                              its own.

o It becomes stronger and more independent during this time.
