To write the time in words:-

 Describe the hour and then the minutes.

 Use terms like "half past", "quarter to", and "o'clock".

 Use "past" for intervals up to and including half an hour past the hour.

 Use "to" for intervals after the half hour up to the hour.

 Use "quarter past" and "quarter to" for 15-minutes either side of the hour.

To write the time in digital form,

We can use a colon to separate the hours and minutes, with the hours
on the left and the minutes on the right:

               Example: 3 o'clock is written as 3:00

To write digital time in words,

We can say the time as "hours and then minutes".

For example, 02:38 is "Thirty-eight minutes past two".
