Let us solve division story problem without picture and

understand it in better way .

Example I- Anu puts 10 apples equally in 2 baskets. How many apples are

there in each basket?

Remember:

First read the entire story problem. And underline the important
information.

Rewrite the question as a statement.

Who or what is the problem about? Write it.

Solution: 2 baskets contains 10 apples

So 1 basket will contain apples = 10 ÷ 2 = 5

Therefore, there are 5 apples in each basket.
