LN – Half past, Quarter past and Quarter to
Learning objectives: Students will be able to learn how to express the
time using half past, Quarter past and Quarter to.
Time: Time is defined as the measured or measurable period during
which an action, process or condition exists or
continues.
O’clock: We use O’clock when the minute hand will
be on 12 irrespective of the place of hour hand.

Half past: When the minute hand of a clock has moved from 12 and
travelled halfway round the clock to point at 6, this is half past the hour.
The hour hand also moves and is halfway from one number to the next
one.
