Learning Objective:
Students will understand how setting and dialogue work together to create a
story.
Explanation:
• Setting: The time and place where a story happens.
Example: In a small village at dusk, the streets were quiet.
• Dialogue: The conversation between characters that moves the story
forward.
Example:
Anna: “Did you hear that noise?”
Ben: “Yes, it came from the forest.”
Activity:
1. Choose a setting and create dialogue for two characters.
2. Share the setting and dialogue with the class.
3. Discuss how the setting influences the dialogue.
