LESSON NOTES

               What is Story Structure?

                    Defini on:
Story structure is the way a story is organized, including the beginning, middle, and end. It's like a
               roadmap for the story.

                    Why it ma ers:

Good structure helps the reader understand the story and keeps them engaged.

II. Key Parts of a Story (Five Main Components):

 Se ng: Where and when the story takes place ( me, place, environment).
 Characters: The people or creatures in the story.

 Plot: The sequence of events (what happens in the story).

 Conflict: The problem or challenge the characters face.

 Resolu on: How the conflict is solved at the end of the story.

               III. Visualizing Story Structure:

                    Story mountain or arc:
Use a graph or diagram to show the story's rising ac on, climax (highest point of tension), falling
               ac on, and resolu on.

                    Three-Act Structure:

Explain the beginning, middle, and end as three dis nct parts of a story (setup, confronta on,
               resolu on).
