SUB TOPIC- Number 5
LEARNING OBJECTIVE- Students will recognise and count number
5.
DISCUSSION-
• Number 5 to be introduced by showing pictures and objects.
• Students are asked to finger count up to 5 and then keep
the cotton ball, glue and ice cream stick ready.
• Teacher explains the students to stick five cotton balls on
the ice cream stick to give the shape of a caterpillar.
• Students are instructed to count the cotton balls and final
touch is given by sticking eyes and antenna to the caterpillar.
•
• Refer to this picture.
• Students complete the activity under the guidance of the
teacher and demonstrate the knowledge about number five.
REVISION QUESTIONS (ORAL)- Ask the students questions like-
• What have you created out of the cotton balls?
• How many cotton balls have you pasted?
• Can you show me five with fingers?
• How many fingers do we have in one hand?
