When you divide powers that have the same base, you subtract the exponents.
If there is more than one base then factorise the monomials and find the
common factor among numerator and denominator.
As that common factor is present in both numerator and denominator, they will
cancel each other.
And rest of the terms will be written as it is.
That's a pretty easy rule to remember! Let's take a look at one more property.
