Kutcha Houses – 63%Of Muslims live in Kutcha Houses.

                    Electricity – 30% of Muslims have access to electricity.
                    Piped Water – 19.4% of Muslims have access to piped water.

                    Literacy Rate – 59% of Muslims have access to literacy.


               Justice Rajinder Sachar Committee -:
               Examined the social, economic and educational status of the Muslim community in

               India, it examined that the condition of the Muslim community is like that of the

               Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes.
                     Muslim customs and practices are also different some Muslims may wear a

                       ‘burqa’, sport a long beard, wear a fez and so may be discriminated against.

                       This has lead to their migration from places where they lived leading to their
                       ghettoisation.  This prejudice sometimes leads to hatred and violence.

                     Marginalised communities want to maintain their cultural distinctiveness while

                       having access to rights, development and other opportunities.
