Subtopic- Reflection and Laws of reflection

Light: Light is a form of energy. It helps in the sense of vision. When light falls on an
object, some of the light is reflected back to our eyes. We are able to see an object
because of light being reflected from the object.

               Reflection of Light:

When light falls on a shiny surface, most of it bounces back. This phenomenon is called
reflection of light. Bouncing back of light after striking a surface is called reflection of
               light.

               Laws of Reflection

There are two laws of reflection which are as follows:

First Law of Reflection: Angle of incidence is always equal to the angle of reflection.

Second Law of Reflection: The incident ray, the reflected ray and normal at the point
of incidence, all lie in the same plane.

               Suggested Activity
NCERT Activity 16.1 and 16.2: To verify laws of reflection of light using a plane mirror
               strip and torch light.
